Salman Khan is keen to get paired with Asin

normal_011

If the latest buzz is to be believed then the Bollywood hunk Salman Khan is keen to get paired with Asin in Ravi Chopra’s next film.

Is she the new favorite of Salman? Asin is working with Salman in Ready too, and speculations were rife that Sallu suggested her name to the director Anees Bazmee who was interested in signing Deepika Padukone. However, later the director denied any such rumour.

Asin was first seen with Salman in the movie London Dreams, which was a dud at the box office, and the actress had a tough time battling the questions of her alleged link up with Salman at that time.

However, for Ravi Chopra film it’s said that the first choice is Priyanka Chopra, but we might see the vivacious Ghajini actress clinching the role with Sallu. The movie will also have Govinda.

Asin is still trying to figure out good friends in the industry

Asin-at

Asin, who is relatively new to the industry, is fast making new buddies in B-Town. Though her act in her bollywood debut won her acclaim, the actress is still trying to figure out who her good friends are in the industry.

After bonding with Sridevi’s family, now Asin has found a new friend in Sushmita Sen’s daughter Renee. The two apparently met recently and bonded like a house on fire. Actually, Renee is so smitten by Asin’s act in the film GHAJINI that she calls Asin by her character name Kalpana didi.

It’s learnt that Asin is fast becoming thick friends with Renee and mom Sushmita Sen cannot stop feeling excited about the choice of Renee’s friendship.

There is no work for Asin Thottumkal in the Hindi film industry

london-

After her film "London Dreams " failed to click at the box office, there is no work for Asin Thottumkal in the Hindi film industry.

"I have nothing (no films) as of now. All that I can reveal is that future projects are under production and I can’t talk about them until the producers give me a go- ahead," Asin told reporters here Wednesday.

The actress was in the capital to announce the 55th edition of the Filmfare Awards . She, however, assured that she will be seen more in movies this year.

Asin, who won the best debutant (female) award at Filmfare last year for her performance in "Ghajini", kept the media waiting for two hours as her flight was delayed due to the fog in the capital. But she was extremely apologetic for the delay.

The multi-lingual actress was quite at ease when asked about the qualities that she would seek in her man.

"I don’t have a check list for my dream guy. But definitely think integrity of character is a very important quality. I am not a person who values physical appearances more than how the person is at heart," she said.

Abhishek is a part of my film-Asin

49d03_AAfter the failure of What’s your Rashee?, Ashutosh dived headfirst into his next period drama based on the Chittagong uprising of 1930. Going back to what he does best, Ashu roped in Asin to play the female lead. In an earlier interview, he had not confirmed this, saying, “Yes, its true that Abhishek is a part of my film Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se, and he essays the part of Surjya Sen. As far as Asin goes, I have approached her for the role, but it is too soon to comment on it.” Currently working on the pre-production matters of the film, Ashu was in for a rude shock when Asin backed off from the film at the last minute, citing date issues.

The director was left surprised. A source close to the actress however revealed, “It’s not date issues. Asin doesn’t want to take any more chances with her next. London Dreams, while critically appreciated, did receive a lukewarm response.

Asin was completely sidelined in the film and barely had a role to talk about. She faced the same issue during Ghajini when Aamir hogged all the limelight, and she couldn’t believe she made the same mistake again.

Considering the recent closeness between Ashutosh and the Bachchans, Asin is sure that he wouldn’t pay much attention to her role and would devote his time and energy in promoting Abhishek in the film.

Also, the failure of What’s Your Rashee? concerned her deeply, and now, she is being very careful with choosing her next film. Asin wants a full-fledged meaty role in her next to prove her acting prowess.”

Now, Ashutosh, along with pre-production matters of his film, will have to start searching for his female lead again. We wonder who would he settle upon, considering he’s irked half of the industry’s ladies with his unruly comments on Priyanka. Maybe Ash would come to her hubby’s rescue finally!

Asin chooses her roles carefully

168634_Southern beauty Asin, who is looking forward to her mega budget Bollywood release London Dreams, says she chooses her roles carefully as she doesn’t want to do anything vulgar or indecent.

"I would never do something that is baseless, vulgar and indecent, something I am not comfortable doing and therefore can’t do justice with," Asin said.

"When I choose a film, my criteria are script, role, director, producer and then co-artist. Language or financial issues never determine what film I want to do," she added.

The 23-year-old made her debut in Hindi movies opposite superstar Aamir Khan in the hit film Ghajini last year.
