’1 800 Love’. That, incidentally, happens to be the name of producer Madhu Mantena’s next offering. And the canny producer has been locked in a major tussle with director Abbas Tyrewala regarding the title, ever since the film flagged off.
Tyrewala’s take was that the title, a telephone code number, was the apt choice for the subject, which details the story of it’s lead actors: John Abraham and Pakhi (Tyrewala’s spouse).
Since the tale unfolds to the audience through a series of telephonic conversations, Tyrewala stuck to his guns. Mantena’s fear, though, is that the audience might not be able to connect with it and worse, could find it rather vague and strange.
"We are still debating," an irked Mantena told the media. Originally scheduled to be canned in the US, was ultimately filmed in London. The filming is complete and the flick is being readied for a July release.
The telephonic conversations in the Mantena flick have been shown using split screens. Presently, the titular split continues….
